A user experience designer who is well-versed in Shopify is needed so that we can create engaging and functional online stores. To improve the user experience, you will merge user interfaces and processes. The ideal candidate for this position is a designer with strong analytical and creative skills who can quickly understand and address user concerns. You need to have a solid history of completed technical and user experience projects. You'll collaborate closely with UI designers and Solution Architects to bring beautiful designs to life while adhering to Shopify's and Apps' technical requirements and respecting the client's backend needs, content data, and other constraints. In the end, you'll make our product more streamlined and straightforward, which will help us gain and keep customers. This has the makings of a full-time position

Responsibilities

  • Learn the ins and outs of product requirements and consumer behavior
  • Carry out user research and persona creation based on test results from concept and usability testing
  • It's important to pinpoint the optimal interaction model and assess its performance.
  • Create mockups and working models based on user feedback.
  • Look for original answers to common UX issues (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Collaborate with user interface designers to create and implement appealing layouts
  • Share your designs and prototypes with programmers.
  • Study the offerings of your rivals and the developments in your field.

Requirements

  • Being familiar with Shopify
  • Expertise in user interface and user experience design is required.
  • Proven track record of successful design projects
  • Education and experience in research and project management
  • Experience with interaction design and data architecture
  • experienced with various types of design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
  • Ability to learn HTML/CSS; JavaScript experience a plus
  • Sufficient problem-solving skills
  • Intelligence and business sense combined
  • Superior verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, or design
